Taking a look at Gaston Brugman and how he's been a positive for the LA Galaxy coming off the bench.
Welcome to our new series Beyond the Spotlight! This series is about analyzing film from the LA Galaxy’s latest match and highlighting players who had stellar performances but didn’t get much attention afterward. This will be a detailed look at the good, bad, and ugly moments of the LA Galaxy this season. Each week will have a different player or theme to analyze deeply.

Brugman was in the upper echelon of progressive passers in MLS last season and his composure on the ball ensures the LA Galaxy keep possession. He knows how to manage scenarios that Galaxy find themselves in and that’s a huge asset off the bench for the Galaxy.
With Brugman getting back into match fitness, it may lead to Edwin Cerillo losing his starting role. I’ll be comparing the two players and what stood out about Brugman’s performance against St. Louis City.
